NEWS - RE·SOURCE Book Launch

I am super excited to share the launch event of the latest Sustainable Darkroom publication re·source! In October last year, I spent some time messing around with making a film developer using Pumpkin Spices. Soon after my initial experiments I saw that The Sustainable Darkroom had posted a call out for proposals for their next publication. I submitted and was accepted! I then had to very quickly test the recipes more in the few weeks I had before I went to the UK for Christmas, and then some more testing after I came back. My Pumpkin Spice Film Developer recipe is included here along with a bonus Pumpkin Spiced Latte Recipe! These will be included with a whole range of essays, recipes and ideas surrounding the topic of sustainable photography.

re·source unpicks the colonial and social entanglements between materials as resources, embodies the notion of being resourceful, considers the relationship between resources as a source of wealth or revenue and acts as a resource in and of itself; providing valuable information to those wanting to learn about ecologically conscious photography.
